If you child was getting bullied everyday at school what would you do to remedy the situation ?

When your child is being bullied at school, there is a few steps you can take to protect your child. Depending on the severity of the situation you may want to get the police involved if you feel your child is in physical danger.

First thing is to bring the situation to the attention of the school. To do this write a letter to the school principal requesting a meeting and that you would like all members involved to be in attendance at the meeting. This would include the other child and their parents.

Some public schools now have a police officer assigned to it. If your child‘s school does have a police officer assigned to the school, make sure the officer is aware of the situation. It would be a good idea to have the police officer in the meeting so that they can inform the other parent of the laws of assault. Which means even a verbal threat is a crime and their child can be brought up on charges.

If this doesn't work I would suggest getting the courts involved. Go to the police station yourself and file charges.
